Rocky Fielding will be aiming to write his name into the boxing history books when he returns to the ring next month.
Fielding takes on Dan Azeez at the Bournemouth International Centre on December 17, live on Sky Sports, with the British light-heavyweight championship on the line. Azeez shot to prominence when he beat Hosea Burton last year to win the title and impressed again in Liverpool in September when he overcame Shakan Pitters.
Fielding, who is nicknamed 'Rocky from Stocky', is a former WBA super-middleweight champion who is working his way back towards world title contention. The 35-year-old, who has also held the British and Commonwealth titles at 168lbs, admits the prospect of becoming a two-time British champion is a 'goal' for him.

“He’s getting the momentum because he has the Sky deal behind him, so there is a bit of a hype on him,” Fielding told the Lighweight Boxing Show.
“I have experience and I don’t think he has been in with anyone who can hit as hard as me. It is a good fight.
“I was ticking over in the gym and a text came through saying: 'Do you want to fight Dan Azeez for the British title?' I said: 'Yeah'.
“As I said, I have won it at super-middleweight and I can win it at light-heavyweight. A two-time British champion at two different weights is a goal for me.”
Before Fielding added: “I just want to fight. That is where I am at in my career. Get into the gym, train and get that routine in a camp and fight.
“This is a fight to announce myself as in the light-heavyweight division. [The aim] is to finish the year good with a good win and go into next year with him in the division.”
