Historic Shell garage eyed for restaurant revival

A derelict petrol station that has sat empty on Speers Point's main drag for decades could be brought back to life as a restaurant, under a development application before Lake Macquarie City Council.

The proposal, from NGA Business and SWA Business, would restore the heritage-listed former Speers Point Garage at 155 Main Road and convert it into a food and drink premises of about 260 square metres, open from 6am to 10pm.
