A mansion dating back to the 17th century has gone on the market in a tourist town popular with people from Merseyside.
Caerau, in Llanfairynghornwy, is spread across 24 acres towards the north of Anglesey island and was once in the hands of the Bulkeley family. Not only does the listing include the charming home, but it also has its own campsite and café, known as Caerau.
The sprawling estate contains several outbuildings while sections of the property, including the main house and the separate two-storey servants' quarters, are Grade II-listed.

The country mansion and grounds previously went up for sale in August 2020 and was described as a "super investment" for the right buyer at the time. Significant works have happened since then and it is now back on the market once again as a potential "investment".
As well as the campsite and café, the property currently has full planning permission for eight self-contained holiday cottages coupled with approved plans for internal alterations of the main house, according to Williams and Goodwin. Access to certain areas of the original house is restricted for safety reasons but the rest of the building has been extensively renovated across two floors and could make for a spacious family home, the listing says.
The 24 acres of grounds also include paddocks, gardens and a lake. The established campsite takes up one field and has its own communal firepit with far-reaching views of the countryside, not far from Anglesey's furthermost northern point.
