River City Bangkok invites everyone to step into a sun-drenched paradise of eternal nostalgia during "Hiroshi Nagai: Summer Dreaming", which is running at RCB Galleria on the 2nd floor, until Sept 4.
Held in collaboration with Royal Orchid Sheraton Riverside Hotel Bangkok, this is the historic, first-ever solo exhibition in Thailand by Hiroshi Nagai, a legendary Japanese artist celebrated globally as a monumental cultural icon and revered as the visionary godfather of the "City Pop" aesthetic.
During the dazzling height of Japan's 1980s economic bubble era, Nagai masterfully crafted album cover designs that didn't simply complement the music. Through his brush, he forever intertwined his bright, breezy visual style with the soulful, synth-driven and futuristic sounds of Japanese City Pop, transforming vinyl records into timeless art pieces.
