
Hilton turns 100 this year – a milestone few hotel groups reach, and fewer still with their relevance intact. At the Park Lane flagship, a fixture of Mayfair since 1963, the brand’s legacy is quietly on display: all polished marble, soft lighting and just-so service.
After a short stint in the lounge – and a few too many chilli crackers – someone arrives to collect us. Moments later, we’re ascending to the 27th floor. When the lift doors open onto a hushed corridor and we’re led into the Presidential Suite – a sprawling apartment in the sky – it’s clear Hilton isn’t just trading on name recognition. It still knows how to make an entrance.
