Although heading to the pub is a beloved tradition, sometimes we crave something different and there are a good chunk of alternative activities in Dublin, from escape rooms to comedy nights.
One of those regular comedy nights is Craic Den Comedy Club. Six shows taking place five nights a week between Mulligan And Haines and The Workman's Club provide an abundance of laughs with seriously talented comedians who will keep you on your toes.
A visit to Craic Den Comedy Club in The Workman's Club in mid December was a treat of a line-up. The night's host Eddie Mullarkey warmed up the audience with anecdotes and mighty craic of his own before introducing the other funny folk gearing up to entertain.

An eager audience was then treated to barrels of laughs, with the night's line-up including Kevin O'Sullivan, Chris Kent, David McSavage and the ultra-hilarious Sharon Mannion. There was also a heckling couple, who absolutely nobody in the room was a fan of.
Between Kevin's hilarious jokes about becoming a drug dealer to Chris' gas struggles to find a decent sandwich in the UK to Sharon's brilliant take on being a mother in her 20s, the jokes were never-ending and the audience were loving it.
The best part, perhaps, is that a night stacked with talented comedians nailing joke after joke cost just €15. While a night in the pub is often the go-to, there are more and more alternative and cheaper ways to spend an evening in Dublin, and nothing helps you forget about your daily stresses like hysterical tales from a line-up of brilliant Irish comedians.
The Craic Den Comedy Club takes place From Tuesday to Saturday every week, with tickets available to purchase through the club's Eventbrite page. To find out about the line-ups for upcoming shows, you can follow Craic Den Comedy Club on Instagram.
