A hiker camping at the top of one of Scotland's most famous mountains described the moment he woke to a stunning cloud inversion as "Heaven on Earth". Jake Day was wild camping and kayaking around Loch Lomond when he and his friends decided to climb to the top of Ben Lomond.
The group, which included his friends Lee Short, Oli Simpkin and Massimo Berrington, ended up deciding to camp for the night at the top of the famous Munro.
"In the evening the clouds really started coming in," Jake, who is also a fully licensed drone pilot, explained. "We decided to go to bed and woke up to a stunning cloud inversion."
He joked that it felt "biblical" as he spent the new few minutes capturing the stunning scene on film.
He was then delighted to share the footage online to show how incredible and rewarding these rare moments at the top of Scotland's peaks can be.
Jake has since posted his epic clip on several FB groups, and his own Facebook page where people flocked to congratulate him on capturing such a beautiful moment.
One wrote: "Spectacular scenes, magical."
While another added: "Fantastic shots. So jealous not to have seen it in person."
A proud Jake said he was delighted with the response, adding that he was happy to share the moment he found "Heaven on Earth".
