Since the accident, he had remained unconscious despite undergoing surgery to alleviate pressure on his brain.

Just two weeks prior, Andrews participated in the highly anticipated Beast of the Week Basketball All-Star Game, showcasing his exceptional skills on the court.

The talented athlete had also set his sights on attending college.

The post was paired with a video capturing Andrews' infectious energy and memorable performance during the Beast of the Week All-Star Game, highlighting his undeniable passion for the sport.

It comes after a teenage baseball star jumped to his death off a Bahamas cruise ship "as a dare" - in a video shared just days after the US Coast Guard called off the search.

A haunting video shows Cameron Robbins, 18, from Louisiana, US, jumping overboard without a life jacket as his fellow classmates urge him on, according to eyewitnesses.

The teenager, who had just graduated days ago from the University Laboratory School in Baton Rogue, was seen in just his swimming trunks before suddenly disappearing.

Cameron, who was just a few feet away from the cruise, started drifting in the opposite direction away from the buoy before disappearing into darkness, according to eyewitnesses.
