AHMEDABAD: India’s dye exports have surpassed pre-Covid levels, registering a 14% increase in volume and 38% increase in value in the financial year ending March 31, 2022.
According to data from Chemexcil, the Union government council promoting chemicals and dyes, exports of dyes and dyes intermediates grew significantly in the last year. However, in March, dye exports decreased by 9% and industry sources say things are getting worse with low demand and high raw material prices hurting MSME units, which are running at just 60% capacity.
