Hidden road where houses cost double those around

The ECHO has taken a look down a leafy north Liverpool road lined with huge homes that cost on average almost double that of the wider area.

Litherland Park is tucked away off Sefton Road in Litherland, with historic stone pillars guarding its entrance and mature trees lining the pavements.

Once through the ornate, brown stone pillars, you're met with a quaint and quirky crescent that has a mix of massive Victorian homes complete with streetlamps and pitched roofs and modern new builds done to the highest standards.

Among the stained-glass windows of the older properties, a significant amount of building work is going on.

Homeowners on the road are making vast improvements or building new abodes. Some period buildings have been given modern facelifts, with fresh rendering or new driveways.

According to Rightmove, properties on Litherland Park had an overall average price of £301,250 in the last year. Detached homes fetched £290,000 while semi-detached properties went for an average of £312,500.

While £301,250 may seem high now, Litherland Park enjoyed a property price peak in 2015 with houses going for £410,000 on average.

In the wider Litherand area, houses had an overall average price of £154,626. The figure is 10% higher than the previous 12 months and a 19% jump on the area's 2020 peak of £129,536.
