Hibs vs Hearts fixture shift to allow for PPV coverage of Edinburgh derby

Hibernian and Hearts have been involved in a fixture shift ahead of next month's Edinburgh Derby at Easter Road.

Both clubs requested that the fixture on April 15 could be brought forward from 3pm to allow for the action to be shown live on pay-per-view.

This request has now been accepted from league bosses and the match will now kick-off at 12:30pm.

In a statement, Hibs said: "We can confirm that the upcoming Edinburgh Derby has been brought forward and will now take place at an earlier kick-off time of 12:30pm.

"Hibs take on Hearts at Easter Road on Saturday 15 April, in what is the final Edinburgh Derby before the end-of-season split.

"The match was originally due to take place at 3pm, however, it has now been brought forward to the earlier time of 12:30pm at a request from both clubs.

"With the earlier kick-off time agreed, we will be able to make the game available on Pay-Per-View (PPV) to allow as many supporters as possible to watch the match live on Hibs TV across the world. Full PPV details will be announced in due course."

Hearts added: "Hearts’ cinch Premiership match away to Hibs on Saturday, April 15th has had its kick-off time brought forward.

"The final pre-split Edinburgh derby of the 2022/23 season will now begin at 12.30pm at Easter Road, at the request of the home club.

"Ticket information will be released in due course.

"The Jambos last met Hibs back in January and ran out 3-0 winners in Leith to advance in the Scottish Cup."
