St Mirren have confirmed the signing of Cypriot midfielder Alex Gogic on a loan deal from Hibs until the end of the season.
The Premiership rivals have been trying to thrash out a deal on transfer deadline day and have struck an agreement with just hours left in the window.
Gogic first arrived in Scottish football with Hamilton, enjoying a fruitful three-year stint at Accies between 2017-2020.
St Mirren tried to sign the midfield enforcer when he swapped Accies for Hibs but Buddies boss Jim Goodwin has finally landed a long-term target.
Since leaving Hamilton, Gogic has become an international for Cyprus.
A St Mirren statement reads: "St Mirren Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Alex Gogic on loan from Hibernian until the end of the season subject to clearance.
"Saints manager Jim Goodwin has been a long-time admirer of the Cypriot international who began his career with Greek giants Olympiakos.
"The 27-year-old impressed in his three-and-a-half years at Accies – winning a move to Hibernian at the beginning of the 2020/21 season."
