Hibs receive FIFA approval for Harry McKirdy transfer

Hibs receive FIFA approval for Harry McKirdy transfer

HIBS have received a big boost ahead of their clash with Kilmarnock on Saturday.

New striker Harry McKirdy's permanent transfer from Swindon Town has been approved by FIFA.

The Easter Road club were awaiting international clearance for the switch, which had potential to be delayed until next week.

However, this evening, the Hibees have confirmed the deal has gone through.

McKirky could feature against Killie tomorrow afternoon.

A club statement reads: "We are delighted to announce that FIFA have approved the permanent transfer of Harry McKirdy.

"After extensively reviewing the paperwork provided by both clubs, the FA, and the SFA, the world governing body has approved the completion of the deal.

"That means that McKirdy is now officially a Hibernian FC player joining for an undisclosed fee from English League Two side Swindon Town. He has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal.

"McKirdy is now available for selection for Saturday afternoon’s cinch Premiership clash against Kilmarnock; 3pm kick-off."
