Kevin Harper has returned to Hibs as a first-team scout, it has been confirmed.
The 46-year-old started his playing career at Easter Road and stayed for seven years until his exit in 1998.
He now heads back to help current Hibees boss Shaun Maloney in his transfer endeavours. It's an emotional reunion for Albion Rovers' former boss.
Announcing the news on social media, he said: "It has only taken 24 years to get back to where it all started professionally for me, delighted to say I am a Hibernian first-team scout."
Harper started his coaching career as the U20s boss at Airdrie, before briefly coming out of retirement to be player-manager at Thorniewood United.
Albion Rovers appointed him as gaffer in November 2018 and made him the first black, Asian or minority ethnic manager of a Scottish club since Márcio Máximo in 2003.
He left in 2020 following the expiry of his contract.
