Hibs fell to a derby day defeat and are OUT of the Scottish Cup, losing 3-0 to Hearts at Easter Road.
It was a strong start from Lee Johnson's men when after six minutes Josh Campbell's flick smacked the post as he was completely unmarked in the area. But against the run of play Josh Ginnelly emphatically smashed Hearts in to the lead as Hibs couldn't clear their lines in the box. Back and forth both sides went in the first half with Campbell seeing a half chance from a header go wide while Michael Smith forced a save from David Marshall before the break.
In the second half, the home side had the better of the chances again with Elie Youan causing the Jambos defence problems before Lawrence Shankland made history by smashing home and equalling the record of John Robertson as the first player since to net 20 goals in a season. Tobby Sibbick then netted a stunning individual goal to seal yet another 3-0 derby win for the Gorgie.

Jeggo debut rated
James Jeggo was thrown in at the deep end after signing for Hibs just 24 hours prior to the derby.
It was an afternoon of mixed fortunes for the Australian who looked a little rusty in the first half.
The second period was a more fruitful outing with plenty of meaty challenges but his best football will be to come.
Nisbet vs Shankland
Kevin Nisbet and Lawrence Shankland both went in to the game on red-hot form.
But neither forward truly made their mark on the explosive derby in the first half with Nisbet going closest.
Shankland was playing off impressive Josh Ginnelly so perhaps was out of favour in terms of big chances but finally had his say with a bullet strike to sink the Hibees.
McGeady shows experience
Aiden McGeady was integral to Hibs chances of a result in the derby.
The experienced winger was the bright spark in the first half and at the centre of everything the home side did.
As the game went on the former Celtic man was frozen out a bit but will play a huge role for the Hibees towards the end of the season.
