Two Scottish Premiership's teams are engaged in a fierce battle to secure the signature of Ross County's star striker Simon Murray.
Both Hibernian and Dundee have seen their offers for the 32-year-old goal-scoring sensation rebuffed, but the chase for his services remains firmly on.
Murray, who hit an impressive 23 goals for the Highlanders last season, is believed to be keen on making a move closer to the central belt for personal reasons.
However, Ross County are reluctant to part ways with their prized asset, who has been integral to their fight for survival in the top flight.
The Dingwall club's manager, Don Cowie, acknowledges that he may be fighting a losing battle to retain Murray's services, particularly with the player's contract set to expire next summer.
Hibernian's sporting director, Malky Mackay, is no stranger to Murray, having previously worked with the striker during his time as Ross County boss.
Mackay is keen to bring the forward back to Easter Road, where he enjoyed a year-long spell earlier in his career.

But Dundee could yet offer the experienced talisman a lucrative package - with Tony Docherty eager to bolster his frontline following a strong first campaign back in the Scottish Premiership.
Murray is from Dundee and also had a short period on-loan at Dens Park six years ago.
As the transfer saga unfolds, Ross County are set to welcome a new face to their forward line.
The club have had an offer accepted from Cliftonville for striker Ronan Hale, and they are confident of finalising the move in the coming days.
Hale, 25, is thought to have been swayed by a move to Dingwall because “it could open the door for an international call-up”.
