Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for launching a series of rockets into several areas of northern Israel overnight. The Israeli military confirmed that dozens of projectiles were launched from Lebanon, with about 50 crossing into Israeli territory.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that some of the projectiles were intercepted, while others fell in the area. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the attack, although the extent of the damage is still being assessed.
This incident follows a warning from Hezbollah's Deputy Secretary General Naim Qassem, who urged Israelis to accept a ceasefire in Lebanon or face increased hostilities. Qassem indicated that Hezbollah is shifting its strategy to strike harder and deeper into Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has expressed opposition to a unilateral ceasefire in the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah in Lebanon. The situation remains tense as both sides navigate escalating tensions and threats of further violence.
