Israel’s military has uncovered a Hezbollah compound beneath a home in a Lebanese border village, where the terrorist group's special forces unit was reportedly planning a major attack on Israelis. The bunker, located just a few miles from Israel's border, was stocked with weapons and motorcycles intended for a raid into Israel, as revealed by Israel Defense Forces Spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari.
Hagari stated that the Radwan Forces of Hezbollah were preparing for a massacre larger than the one on October 7th. The compound contained weapons, ammunition, and even fresh coffee and food, indicating recent occupancy. Footage released by the IDF showed the weapons strewn across beds in the underground facility, along with a portrait of former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
Nasrallah, who was recently killed in a Beirut airstrike, was described by Hagari as a ruthless terrorist responsible for the deaths of many people. Hagari emphasized that the world is a better place without Hezbollah and Nasrallah, highlighting Israel's commitment to ensuring the security of its citizens.
Israel had received intelligence that Hezbollah was planning a large-scale attack dubbed 'Conquer the Galilee.' In response, the IDF conducted military operations to dismantle Hezbollah's weapons and terrorist infrastructures along the border. Special Forces entered Hezbollah compounds, exposed hidden weapon caches, and seized and destroyed advanced Iranian-made weapons.
Hagari reiterated Israel's determination to prevent Hezbollah from carrying out attacks and to safeguard its northern border. The IDF's actions aimed to protect Israeli citizens and prevent any future threats posed by Hezbollah.
