Three hero police officers have been praised for pulling a man to safety who was on a bridge over a railway track.
The officers responded to reports of concern for the man's welfare on Saturday (July 1). The incident happened near Hindley station, police said.
Police Constables Neil Bridgeman, Stephen Heyes and Amber Dutson engaged with the man on the scene. They managed to pull him to safety after speaking with him.
