Hero police dog helps trace missing 'vulnerable' West Lothian youngster

A police dog has been praised by the force after he helped trace a missing boy on Tuesday.

The seven-year-old boy was reported missing from the Livingston area in West Lothian on June 20.

Thanks to PD Milo and his handler, the dog picked up the youngster's scent and tracked him to a woodland.

Police Scotland confirmed that the boy was then reunited with his parents.

Taking to social media, Police Scotland wrote: "PD Milo and S328 saved the day yesterday when a vulnerable 7-year-old boy was reported missing in Livingston.

"PD Milo picked up the boy's track and followed it through some woodland. He was found safe and well and repatriated with his parents. Great work!"
