Here’s when Rob Gronkowski will be eligible for Pro Football Hall of Fame

Rob Gronkowski is officially retired, again.

The 33-year-old originally announced his retirement with the New England Patriots following the 2018 season. Tom Brady infamously joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he convinced his tight end to join the team for the past two years.

He dealt with injury issues his entire career and he finally decided to hang it up. Gronkowski has 631 receptions for 9,286 receiving yards and 92 touchdowns in his career — which should be enough of a resume to become a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

So, when will Gronkowski have his first opportunity?

His five-year clock was set back after making his return to the NFL, so Gronkowski will now be eligible in 2027.

It is more likely than not that Gronkowski enters as a first-ballot Hall of Famer.
