The street style set loves layers. It's how you stay toasty while walking between runway shows in the winter. So it's not surprising that attendees learn to master the art of bundling up while still showing out. Which is why when the dresses over pants trend starting rearing its head, we knew where to look for inspiration.
Not every dress goes with every pair of pants. There's actually some sartorial strategy that needs to happen. Like highlighting a bright white long turtleneck dress with trousers in a slightly off-white shade and adding in a dark-colored wool coat to complete the look (see above). It's also important to make sure that your dress of choice has enough space to place over your pants of choice. One of the best things about all of the potential pairings is that they make wearing dresses on the mini or micro side a whole lot easier.
