Henry Shefflin has taken to social media to thank Brian Cody for his services after the legendary manager stepped down as Kilkenny boss on Saturday.
Cody leaves as the most decorated manager in hurling history with some 11 All-Ireland victories.
And after a 24 year reign, Cody opted to call it a day with his side narrowly losing out to Limerick in last week's All-Ireland final.

Henry Shefflin took to social media to thank his old boss and ended any rumours of a rift between the two parties
There was the highly publicised 'handshake-gate' between the two when they faced off in two Championship encounters earlier this year.
And although both Cody and Shefflin shrugged off the incident it didn't quieten talks in both the media and social media.
But Shefflin said of his old boss: "End of an Era, Memories which will be treasured forever. Best wishes Brian."
Shefflin took over as Galway boss last year in a surprise appointment and guided his side to a Leinster final and All-Ireland semi-final where they were beaten by both Kilkenny and Limerick.
