Henry Cejudo has vowed to bulk up and face Conor McGregor at 155lb - providing he proves his sobriety.
The retired star has been embroiled in a social media feud with McGregor in recent weeks after the Irishman made his return to training ahead of a UFC comeback. Most recently McGregor told Cejudo to stop messaging him and branded him a "nobody " after his previous fight call-out.
Now Cejudo has renewed his ambition to challenge McGregor and believes any clash would still be a great fight. "Let me make you a deal," Cejudo said on The Schmo. "I will literally go up to 155lb to fight you if you are willing to be sober for the fight. What's up? I don't know man, we test his blow. Whatever that is but I will literally go to 155 if Conor McGregor passes sobriety. I think that's even. I think that's a great fight. I think that's a great negotiation tactic."
McGregor frequently posted messages of himself drinking before he made a return to boxing training despite previously promising fans he will stop to prioritise his comeback. He concerned fans with a variety of different posts including a rambling message from his Black Forge Inn pub.
However he recently reiterated his promise and has been posting footage of himself hard at work on the boxing pads. Cejudo recently jumped to criticise the footag e that was posted which prompted a response from McGregor, who tweeted: "The audacity of this little fat midget novice to be holding a kick pad for Cris Cyborg. Look at the state of him omg. Fat midget novice."
Cejudo has previously claimed McGregor was "finished" after he broke his leg in an opening-round defeat to Dustin Poirier last year. The Irishman dismissed the former champion by branding him a "fart". He later accused the star of manipulating his way to titles by using his profile as a superstar in the UFC.

The American star retired after successfully defending his bantamweight crown in 2020 but has since suggested he could return for any lucrative opportunities. A clash with McGregor will likely bear the biggest financial fruit, with the Irishman having sold eight of the ten leading pay-per-view fights in UFC history.
But the 35-year-old believes McGregor is "stuck in his fame" and believes his recent decline is a shadow of his previous title-winning career. “ Conor McGregor in 2016, he did walk that walk," Cejudo said. "But guess what man, his persona is over, he’s not that dude anymore. People know that it’s just an act and he doesn’t have that juice no more.
"But I think he’s so stubborn and around yes man. He won’t get better, he’s stuck in his own fame. That’s my two cents on Conor McTapper. I think he should fight Jake Paul, I think these two dudes are meant for each other. I think they can go on a damn honeymoon afterward too.”
