Henry Cejudo trolls Conor McGregor as UFC star boasts of winning "easy money"

Henry Cejudo has mocked Conor McGregor's grappling after the Irishman won a bet on Cejudo's UFC 288 defeat by Aljamain Sterling.

'Triple C' returned to the UFC for the first time in three years last weekend when he challenged bantamweight champion Sterling but came up short by decision. Prior to the event, Cejudo had ignited a feud with the Irishman insisting he would not become involved with him after his online comments aimed at bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.

After Cejudo lost his fight against Sterling, McGregor revealed that he had placed a winning bet on the former two-weight champion losing to the Jamaican and posted a video gloating of his new plush fashion buys with the money. The tweet read: "Easiest money I've ever made. Not a scratch on Aljo!

"Congrats Funkmaster! Good little fighter is Henry but give it a rest with these agendas all the time. Good little fighter is Henry but give it a rest with these agendas all the time. The guy is sub 20 fights in his career. His little feints an' all ahaha omg please teach me mastermind lol. Done the splits like a stripper and got dumped on his a** he did hahaha oh lord it's tasty, @ProperWhiskey."

However Cejudo promptly hit back: "Hey @TheNotoriousMMA. Your grappling is so you bad you can’t even submit a clean urine sample. I’ve seen more intimidating men on a can of Bud Light."

Cejudo's dig comes after it was indicated that McGregor's comeback fight against Michael Chandler could be delayed for a further six months as his status in the USADA testing pool remains unconfirmed. It was not just the bet that McGregor used to troll his rival, having also criticised his technique in the fight.

"I already went shopping in advance and everything is Gucci. You know yourself – fresh gear. Let me show you what’s what. Coach Mac Daddy in the place, show you what’s popping. Henry, this one’s for you my man. Some of the things – oh my god. You blew my (mind). I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

“I was like, ‘This guy is a f**king genius!’ If you’d have just done it like this you would have taken him to the cleaners, my man. But anyway, you know yourself, Coach Mac Daddy won’t charge you a fee because I’m already set.”

Cejudo faces an uncertain future after falling short in his long-awaited return, and it remains to be seen if he will return to campaigning with contenders at the weight. Meanwhile McGregor is waiting for a date to make his comeback, and he will hoping to make a successful return at 170lb after losing three of his four last fights.
