Hen party gets up at crack of dawn to come to Parklife

A bride-to-be has come up with a unique way to celebrate her big day — by joining thousands of festival-goers at Parklife,

Becky Hill has her big day later this summer and travelled up from Tamworth, near Birmingham, this morning. It’s going to be a long day for her bridal party, with seven of her nearest and dearest accompanying the 35-year-old.

Her new husband, Andrew Deekes, is also celebrating his wedding at a festival. However, he’s swapped Mancunian clouds for Portuguese sun.

“We travelled up today, at 6am,” Becky told the Manchester Evening News . “We’re excited to see Lewis Capaldi and Megan Thee Stallion.

“We’ve done a few festivals, that’s what we do. My other half has gone to a festival in Portugal.”

Her hen party has been organised by her sister-in-law, Becky added, ahead of her dream wedding with Andrew near Athens at the end of August.

Yesterday, there was another union, after fan Miles went on stage during Yung Filly’s set and proposed to his girlfriend. Fortunately for him, she said yes, sparking wild celebrations.
