Helldivers 2's upcoming Redacted Regiment Warbond has been delayed indefinitely as Arrowhead finds a "key issue that didn't meet our standards for a release"

Arrowhead Game Studios has announced that the Helldivers 2 Redacted Regiment Warbond – originally set to arrive next week on January 20, 2026 – has been delayed for an indefinite amount of time.

Days after it was first announced, Arrowhead took to the Helldivers 2 Discord to explain: "During final testing for the Warbond, we found a key issue that didn't meet our standards for a release. We're taking some extra time to get it fixed, so the Redacted Regiment Warbond is going to be delayed."

The post continues, "We're sorry for the change in plans, but we want to make sure the update is actually ready for you before it goes live. Thanks for the patience." While it was originally meant to arrive next week, Arrowhead hasn't given a timeframe for when the Warbond will actually arrive in Helldivers 2, nor has it explained what the issue actually is.

The Redacted Regiment Warbond is set to add new weapons to the game with suppressed weapons, a delirium-inducing dart gun, and the deadly duo of C4 and Lure Mines, which could easily be put together to do some serious damage. Alongside those are a selection of new cosmetic items, which are both fittingly minimalist to ensure the brave Helldivers can sneak up on unsuspecting enemies and blast them without the need to face them head-on.

Of course, loyal Helldivers shouldn't be worried about the new outfits, not when there are important things going on like the presence of Illuminate structures appearing in Super Earth media and the ongoing vote to see which planet we should blow up.
