Helicopters have been drafted in as the search for a missing Scots hillwalker continues into its fourth day.
Finn Creaney was dropped off at Loch Naver on the B873 public road in Sutherland around 2.15pm on Friday.
The 32-year-old, from the Tain area, had plans to walk the route around Loch Naver and South to Golspie.
While his vehicle was found in the area, Finn has not been seen or heard from since.
Finn, who is understood to be a dad-of-one, is yet to be traced despite extensive searches being undertaken.
Search dogs and mountain rescue teams have been scouring the terrain looking for the walker but there has been no sign of him.
Police Scotland's Air Unit has now confirmed the force's helicopter have taken to the skies as the search continues into its fourth day.
The unit said on social media: "Police helicopter assisting @northernPolice with searches for missing person Finn Creaney near Golspie area in the Highlands. Any info please call 101. #policeairsupport # golspie"
A group of Finn's friends have also set up a search for him.
They wrote on social media: "Just an update on Finn. A group of his friends and family have been out searching the north golspie area (backies, near Dunrobin castle).
"We searched a few km north west parallel to the river from the furthest point on the "Craggie" road. Another group of family searched near the Crask Inn going south towards Golspie, checking forestry roads/wind farm roads etc that are along that stretch.
"Mountain search and rescue along with police coordination and RAF helicopters, as well as sniffer dogs and drones have been searching tirelessly in the Altnaharra area and North Golspie.
"Unfortunately, we don't have any further updates on direction he has taken or how far he may have travelled."
