Questions were raised to ask why a police helicopter was deployed in Bristol during the Queen's state funeral. The hour-long service for Her Majesty commenced at 11am on Monday (September 20) at Westminster Abbey, and was broadcast across channels in the UK and the world.
A resident in Kingswood said they could hear a police helicopter flying during the broadcast of the funeral.
"Is there any reason why your helicopter is buzzing Kingswood while people are try [sic] to watch Her Majesty’s funeral?" @MikeeTop wrote on Twitter.

"Wondering same thing," replied another social media user.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the police helicopter was in use to assist officers on the ground with a search for a stolen vehicle. The vehicle hasn’t been recovered and enquiries remain ongoing, they added.
