The death toll from Hurricane Helene has tragically risen to at least 236 across six states, with the latest fatality reported in Tennessee. This makes Helene the second deadliest hurricane to hit the US mainland in the last 50 years, following the devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005 which claimed the lives of at least 1,833 people.
