She's set to take to the dancefloor with an explosive Jive on Saturday night on Strictly Come Dancing.
And Helen Skelton speaks out about her partnership with Gorka Marquez, saying she feels 'so lucky' to be dancing with the Latin champion, 32, in an exclusive interview with The Mirror.
After judge Motsi Mabuse hailed Helen as a front-runner to make the final last week, the Countryfile presenter, 39, says she isn't getting ahead of herself and is just thrilled to be smiling and laughing all day with Gorka and the Strictly team.
"Gorka is a world-class dancer who spends all day teaching me how to dance. I'm very lucky, every bit is joyous," she says.
And Helen, who has partnered with Smart Energy to provide helpful tips for Brits to save money on soaring bills, says it has come as a surprise how much she is enjoying the glamour and extravagance of Strictly - with the sparkly outfits a far cry from the Countryfile presenter's raincoat and walking boots.
"I'm just really grateful to be involved. Strictly is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It's like being in Disneyland. Everybody is at the top of their game, the hair people, the make-up," she tells us.
"I'm enjoying it way more than I thought I would. I thought I'd do this because it's fun, but its even way more fun than I thought it would be.
"I knew it would be good, I didn't know it would be this good. I can see why when people are in it they gush about the team, experience and how keen they are to stay in, I totally get that. Before I came into it, I thought 'oh yeah, it'll be nice!'.
"But it's literally like being in Disneyland."
And while Helen is thrilled with the judges' comments, with Shirley Ballas telling her she was "giving more soul" last Saturday night, the mother-of-three says she signed up to Strictly to work hard and have a good time.
"This whole show for me is about having a good time, learning and working hard. As long as I ticked those boxes at the end of each week, I'm happy.
"I'm working really hard in the week, I'm laughing all day. I'm sweating and I'm tired and the rest of it but that's really a rewarding feeling."
Helen says Strictly has put a smile on her face after a tough few months following the breakdown of her marriage to Richie Myler in April.
Helen released a statement at the time: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children."
Richie, is now expecting a baby with his new girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill, who is daughter of the multi-millionaire president of Leeds Rhinos - the rugby club the dad-of-three currently plays for.
The mother-of-three, who moved back into her parents' home in Cumbria in the wake of her marriage breakdown, says the BBC competition has put a smile back on her face.
"For me, all I wanted to do in this competition is smile, work, learn and improve. If I get to the end of each week and I've done that brilliantly, if I get through the week then I'm ecstatic," she says.
