Helen Skelton was absent from this week’s episode of Countryfile just days after news of her marriage break up came out.
Last week, Helen Skelton, 38, announced the end of her relationship with husband Richie Myler. The couple's split comes four months after the birth of their youngest daughter, Elsie Kate. Helen and Richie, who plays rugby for Leeds Rhinos, also have two sons; Ernie, six, and Louis, four.
It has been reported Richie is now in a new relationship with a ‘young businesswoman’. An insider told The Sun : "Richie appears to have been spending a lot of his free time with this younger, successful businesswoman. They are now in the early stages of a relationship."

Former Blue Peter presenter Helen wasn’t seen in this evening’s episode of Countryfile. It is unknown whether her absence was anything to do with the news she announced earlier this week. Sunday’s episode of Countryfile was led by Adam Henson and Anita Rani.
Anita met a 15-year-old shepherd called Katie on her family farm in Cumbria. Anita had never lambed before but soon found herself at the sharp end of an emotional rollercoaster. Sadly, one of the lambs died during the Countryfile episode.
It left many viewers in tears on Sunday teatime. Many took to Twitter to talk about the lambing season heartbreak.
One viewer @PippyG82 said: “Crying at the poor dead baby lamb #Countryfile.” Another @katesaunders13 posted: “Put Countryfile on for a nice bit of Sunday evening cosy vibe and a lamb died.”
While we saw @SatwantBee write: “Just caught #AnitaRani in tears on @BBCOne #Countryfile. She and an amazing 15-year-old shepherdess called Katie were trying to revive a baby lamb, but they couldn't save it or get it breathing again. Yes, I know it's part of nature, but I'm choking back the tears here.”
