Helen Skelton was left feeling emotional during a segment that aired on BBC Morning Live on Friday, March 17. The Countryfile host joined Gethin Jones in the BBC Morning Live studio after the Welsh presenter had been up all night.
As part of Red Nose Day 2023, Gethin took on the Gethin Keeps Dancing challenge, which saw him dance for 24 hours straight in the hopes of raising money for good causes across the UK and around the globe. He was joined by many celebrities along the way, including fellow Welsh presenter and The One Show star Alex Jones.
Helen told viewers: "We are counting down to a Strictly fitness like no other. Gethin is digging deep. The nation is behind you, people have been watching all night, you've had people in tears, people are cheering you on."

Gethin remained silent as he bopped back and forth on the spot, seemingly too exhausted to respond. Describing him as "broken," Helen continued: "I'm getting emotional just standing next to you, because he's broken, guys!
"But he's doing it for a fantastic cause, for a cause that helps so, so many of us. Can he complete the challenge? Find out at 9.15."
Gethin of course did finish the incredibly tough challenge. The hugely ambitious broadcast began during BBC Morning Live on the morning of Thursday, March 16, and continued in the studio throughout the day and night, finishing at 10am on Friday's Morning Live on March 17, Red Nose Day.
Tweeting about his achievement, the official BBC Morning Live team tweeted: "An amazing achievement! We're so proud of what you've done, @gethincjones. An incredible feat, on your feet! It's not too late to donate."
At the end of the show it was revealed that Gethin had raised a whopping £900,000 for Comic Relief. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
