Helen Flanagan has been praised by fans as she admitted to feeling 'sad' amid the first weekend alone since her split from her fiancé Scott Sinclair.
The I'm A Celebrity... South Africa star, 32, shares three children with her ex Scott, 34. The couple split in July last year, but the news wasn't revealed until October.
Helen and Scott share children Matilda, Delilah and Charlie together.
In an emotional post, the former Coronation Street actress shared her upset over spending her first weekend without her children since her break-up from Scott.
Helen posted a video of herself and one of the guinea pigs she and Scott bought as a Christmas gift for their daughter Matilda.
In the clip she is cuddling the pet before she holds a Union Jack flag and waves it in the air.
"Our Coronation weekend," Helen says before laughing and adding: "Coronation weekend."
She also added a photo of herself laying on the sofa and crying with her arm shielding her face.
The final addition to the post shows Helen makeup free and quietly soaking up the sun.
In the caption, the former Rosie Webster actress opened up about missing her three tots.
She wrote: "So this long weekend was my first weekend that I didn’t have my kids as they were having a good time with their daddy and nanna.
"I usually when my kids go away make sure I go out, usually run to london and get drunk with my friends. I felt like it was time though to face being in my family house on my own which is something I’ve put off for a very long time as I didn’t want to feel sad.
"But sometimes I suppose you’ve just got to feel stuff and it’s ok to cry x I wanted to share this because sometimes we scroll on Instagram and things can look perfect but in reality some things are just S**t… also I have a big following of other mums and women that will relate to me and I love that I’ve built a supportive network of women."
She added: "anyway here’s some snaps from my weekend me and angel didn’t want to get out my dressing gown and binge ate Colin the caterpillar cake… honestly Matilda begged me for Guinea pigs and all I do is clean up Guinea pig poo x anyway bring on the week
"My house has never been so immaculate x," she joked at the end of the lengthy caption.
Helen was soon praised by some of her 1million followers for the honest share into life as a single parent.
One wrote: "Thank you for sharing this, I’m currently going through the same things and finding it very hard lots of love".
Another added: "Although those weekends are hard, you come to enjoy them at times but its OK not to be OK all the time".
While a third reassured: "I felt the same when my daughter first went to her dad's and I held it together until she went and then cried. You are not alone and it gets easier".
Celebrity friends also offered words of reassurance and praise as Laura Anderson wrote: "Well done angel big step doing that and for sharing. Life is shit sometimes, makes us appreciate the good times hey. All my love".
And Chanelle Hayes added: "You’re doing amazingly, setting a great example for your beautiful girls about how to be a strong woman who can articulate her own feelings!"
Ashley James also penned: "Love this honesty and I love you. But also watching the coronation with the guinea pig and a flag is iconic!"
