Helen Flanagan is considering a move to Los Angeles to focus on her acting career after her split from Scott Sinclair.
The former Celtic WAG split from her fiancé Scott last October after 13 years and is looking forward to focussing on her career, according to a source. Helen, 32, stepped down from her iconic role of Rosie Webster on Coronation Street in 2018 to focus on her family.
The soap star shares her three children - Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, one - with Bristol Rovers winger Scott. “Helen is open to the idea of going to Los Angeles for acting roles,” a source told OK! Magazine.
“She’d be great over there and she definitely has the look for America. She has some good American contacts and there’s a lot of interest.”
“She really wants to focus on her career this year and wants to feel a bit more in control of it,” the source said. “She loved her time on Coronation Street and she’s always said the door is open for her to go back. But right now, she wants to try something different and widen her horizons in LA.”
The source added: “She’d like to get involved in a gritty role. She’d be open to a film role, or there’s talk of potentially doing something with Netflix.”
“It is difficult to get up and move as a mum with three young children, but Helen thinks it might be easier to do it now while they are younger,” added the source. “Her children are her priority, but following her split from Scott, she’s doing something for herself and wants to think about her next career move.
"She wants a change. If the right opportunity came along she would definitely go for it.”
This comes after reports Helen joined celebrity dating app Raya months after her split with Scott. The pair had been together since the former Corrie actress was only 19-years-old and had been due to get hitched next year after getting engaged at Disneyland Paris.
A source told The Sun: “Helen has been feeling more and more positive about the future since the new year and feels ready to enjoy some nice dates and male company.
“She’s feeling super-confident since her boob job and just thought why not? Helen and the kids were having a great weekend in Paris and she felt ready to dip her toe back in the water.
“Dating doesn’t have to be serious — it’s not about finding a rebound relationship. Helen just wants to enjoy life again. Obviously, it’s not nice for Scott to hear. He feels humiliated but it is what it is.”
