Helen Flanagan saw the funny side as she shared her car fail with her fans as she gave them a debrief on her week. The star, from Bury, had been unusually quiet on social media and decided to have one big catchup with her loyal followers as she spoke to directly to the camera in videos posted to her Instagram Story.
Former Coronation Street actress Helen, who is usually quite active in giving her followers a glimpse into her busy life, could be seen fresh-faced and laying in bed in a clip earlier this week as she said: "Eventful few days and this is why I’ve not been on my social media."
"I’m sure no one has noticed – and no one cares- but I am sad. I literally put everything on my socials. [It’s been] the most manic, manic, manic few days. I am going to get a sleep and then I’ll fill you all in," the mum-of-three added.
And after another day's silence, Helen returned to her social media platform and delved into telling her followers all about what has been going on as she headed to Paris with her eldest daughter, Matilda. Over the weekend, the 32-year-old headed to London where she watched Oh Polly's London Fashion Week show as well as to see her friends after she had taken her three children to see their footballer dad Scott Sinclair.
"So the weekend, what happened at the weekend? So the kids went to Scott's so I met him in Birmingham and then I don't really like, obviously, being in the house on my own without the kids because it just feels weird so I went to London and saw loads of my friends and had a really nice time," Helen, who played Rosie Webster in Corrie, said into the camera after joining she looked 'bedrgagled' with her new blonder lcoks tied into a messy bun on top of her head.
"I went to the Oh Polly event. I had a really good time but what was really unlike me was that I had a really bad brain fog the whole time, which I don't usually get. I'm usually really, really on it. I just did really, really weird things like I lost my friends keys. We got them back, they were in an Uber but I was really annoyed because I am a responsible mother of three - I don't lose keys.
"Then I went to meet one of my really good friends and we went to The Ned which I was really excited to go to. I've only been there once and I was like wow this hotel's amazing so I was really excited to there anyway I was kind of like, I know this sounds really weird, but I just parked my car and it was in the day and when i got out it was obviously really, really dark.
"And, to cut a long story short, I've never done this before and obviously i'm not proud of it - i'm actually quite embarrassed - I know I'm putting this on social, but I couldn't actually find my car."
Continuing to share her car parking fail as she laughed, Helen said: "Long story short, I couldn't find my car for like two hours. I thought I was like seven minutes away from the end. I know London really well, but not this particular area. I could not find my car, I had to get a taxi to take me around everywhere like every side street because I didn't park it well. So yeah, that was that. Then I was thinking Gosh, what is wrong with me?"
She also shared a video of her roaming the streets trying to find her car, while donning a stunning leopard print coat with added fur neck and cuffs. "Then I didn't get home until like half 2 in Manchester or something because there was like loads of roadworks," she added.
It came before Helen shared how her son had suffered a 'horrendous' injury after slipping while at a water park. "To cut a long story short, Charlie slipped, really really badly and it was awful, absolutely horrendous and I had to get an ambulance and he had snapped his collarbone into two. It was horrendous, so I spent like six hours in the hospital at Stoke."
She added: "I'd like to say thank you to the paramedics and the doctors and nurses who were amazing so thank you so much. That was awful, it's horrible, horrible, horrible to hear your child in pain. It's just horrendous but he's ok. There's actually not much you can do for it. Apparently, it mends by itself but it's horrible when you're a mum and you just wish you could take every pain away from them."
