Helen Flanagan red faced as son Charlie 'poos' on her clothes after accidentally locking them out of house

Helen Flanagan has confessed that she was an "idiot" after locking herself and son Charlie out of their family home, which resulted in a disastrous toilet emergency.

The 32-year-old single mum shared the awkward parenting saga on her social media with her followers but made light of the nightmare situation as she laughed it off.

"Today locked outside my house because I'm an idiot with my little boy crying because he's got a stomach sickness bug," The ex-Corrie star told her one million fans on Instagram.

"He's pooed on my coat and my joggers, stunning," she added before finding light of the situation and adding some laughing emojis.

In her next post she updated her followers with a post which appeared to show her and youngest son Charlie, who she shares with ex-partner Scott Sinclair, cuddled on the doorstep as she said she was waiting for the local locksmith.

Helen has taken to celeb dating app Raya following her split from Bristol Rovers winger Scott in October after 13 years together.

Helen and Scott share three children together - Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and one-year-old Charlie - and only last year revealed that they had purchased what would have been their 'forever' family home.

But all that came crashing down as they ultimately ended up co-parenting after parting ways when they hit a "rough patch" in the summer of last year.

We reported just recently how Helen has opened up on her parenting struggles as she adapts to her new life as a single mum during a raw Q&A session with her followers.

One follower pleaded with the 32-year-old for parenting advice as they admitted they were 'frazzled' with having three kids and asked her how she copes.

"I find being a mum hard," Helen admitted. "I feel tired most of the time and like I have to split myself into three."

She added: "But I just love them so much would never change it for the world and I just give them all I've got every day."
