Helen Flanagan locked herself in the bathroom for a break from parenting

Helen Flanagan has admitted to locking herself in the bathroom for a break as she opened up about parenting her two youngest children.

The former Coronation Street actress shares her three children - Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and two-year-old Charlie - with former Celtic star Scott Sinclair. Helen, 32, is currently starring in I'm A Celebrity... South Africa and took to social media to ask for support from fellow parents.

Sharing a sweet photo of herself and Delilah beaming for the camera, Helen said: "Having a thing with Delilah at the moment where she just screamed and cries when I leave a room."

She explained: "She follows me everywhere in the house and I know it's cute but it's not as well. I wanted to go for a bath last night and she screamed the whole time. I still co-sleep with Delilah do any other mums feel me?"

She also told her followers: "Also got a thing with Charlie when he keeps head butting me. Also at the end of the day I feel touched out and feel bad for when I'm a snappy witch anyone else?"

Helen confessed to fans that she resorted to locking herself in the toilet to get some peace in another relatable sharing. "Did lock myself in the toilet today for five minutes," she wrote with laughing and love heart emoji.

She added a photo of Matilda and sweetly penned: "Matilda however is as good as gold... I have no favourites I love all my kids equally. I think she might give me a run for my money when she's a teenager. Everyone always says Matilda is so mature for her age bless her."

This comes after Helen opened up about her split from Bristol Rovers footballer Scott and admitted she will always love the father of her three children.

She said: “You don’t spend all your twenties with someone, have three children and not have a good relationship and care about them and love them. When you have that with someone, no one – nothing – can take away what we had. I’ll always love him and he’ll always love me, you just sometimes don’t work any more.

“It will always be really special. But I don’t regret anything. I have three perfect children.”
