Helen Flanagan is said to have known her engagement to footballer Scott Sinclair was over after a strange accident occurred.
The mum-of-three who is currently appearing in I'm A Celebrity... South Africa, was with the Celtic star for 13 years and they share three children together, Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, one.
However, last year their relationship ended and a source claimed that the decision to go their separate ways was affirmed after an incident involving her huge diamond engagement ring.
The former Corrie actress is said to be into "all things spiritual", and reportedly, she accidentally snapped the ring and interpreted it as a "bad omen".
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "She's into all things spiritual and had a feeling so she sought guidance from a psychic medium.
"Helen and Scott really tried to work on their relationship but ultimately she saw the ring breaking as a bad omen and one that meant she shouldn't get married."
In a recent interview with OK! Magazine, Helen admitted that she does still sometimes wear a ring on her left hand, but confirmed that it does not mean she is not getting back with her ex.
Addressing why she still sometimes wears a ring on her left hand, Helen laughed: "That’s so typical of me – I didn’t even think about wearing a ring on that finger!"
Helen said she wore the huge diamond ring during filming of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa last year as her relationship with Scott had only just ended and she didn't want people inquiring about the whereabouts of her diamond.
She said: "I didn’t want to talk about it… I wanted to keep it private for the kids, I didn’t want to be talking about it on the show. I did find that difficult, because I had all that going on in my head."
