Helen Flanagan is thriving following her break-up from ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair, says a Coronation Street pal.
The former Corrie star stunned fans after arriving at the National Television Awards in October without her engagement ring, hinting she was now single. Helen, 32, had been with the former Celtic star for 13 years before their split and the pair have three children together - Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, one.
Speaking to OK! magazine about her recent baby shower, soap star Lucy Fallon also opened about her former colleague and said how much her children have helped her through this tough time. "She’s good, she seems normal and happy," Lucy said.
"I recently filmed Pointless with her, so we were in London together. I’ve never known somebody who’s… obsessed is the wrong word, but she just loves those kids."
Lucy spoke to the publication as she celebrated her upcoming arrival with her closest family and friends, including Helen, at the Shankly Hotel in Liverpool. "Everything she does is for her children," she added. "And you can really tell, with the way she speaks about everything.”
Helen and Scott had reportedly set the date for a 2024 wedding day before calling it quits. However, the couple are now set on co-parenting their three children and are planning a reunion over the festive period.
This comes after the soap star took their kids to watch Scott play for Bristol Rovers last week. Taking to Instagram as they watched Scott play, Helen shared a picture of her and her daughter along with the caption: "Watching daddy @scotty__sinclair."
She then shared another snap of her two older daughters and said: "cheering on daddy @official_brfc @scotty__sinclair." Despite ending their romance, the couple are reportedly set to reunite for Christmas for the sake of their children.
A source told The Sun that the former couple plan to come together for the children's sake, but there would be no chance that they would rekindle their relationship on a romantic level. A source said: “Helen’s sole focus is the three children she shares with Scott and they want to make this Christmas as ‘normal’ as possible.
“Scott is a professional footballer so often he won’t be around on Christmas day because of his fixtures list, however Helen and Scott are planning something special for the children.
"Although they’re no longer together they will work together to make it magical for the kids. Helen is not open to talk of reconciliation and she just wants them to focus on being co-parents.”
