Helen Flanagan has opened up on the terrifying moment she realised she had lost her oldest daughter, Matilda, as the former Corrie actress admitted it was the "worst feeling ever".
The mum-of-three had been in the supermarket when her eldest child to ex-fiance Scott Sinclair vanished. Though it was only "for a second", it didn't stop the 32-year-old from being sent into a blind panic whilst out in public.
Helen described the stressful ordeal as she took to social media that Matilda, seven, had "wandered off" and that she couldn't see her for "about a minute," as the former Coronation Street star described it as the "longest 60 seconds of her life."
Taking to her Instagram about the distressing experience, Helen said: "I must have turned my back for a second. I remember having this horrible, sinking feeling. I always keep an eye on my kids but I couldn't see her for about a minute. There's nothing worse than that, it's the worst, worst feeling ever."
The actress previously explained to New! magazine that she has drilled it into her kids to stay close by her side, saying: "They are good with that but you need eyes in the back of your head."
Helen, who starred in the recent series of I'm A Celebrity All-Stars, shares three children Matilda, Delilah, four and Charlie, two, who with former Celtic footballer player Scott. The couple split in October after 13 years together and their engagement was called off.
Despite the split, the couple have remained civil with one another and continues to have a strong co-parenting bond between them for the sake of their kids.
When asked whether mums need to be more 'aware' when it comes to looking after children, Helen replied: "Oh I don't know if I want to answer that in case what I say is controversial [laughs], but yeah, for me my children are so precious."
Meanwhile, we previously reported that Helen has been receiving some stick from people on social media following her girl's trip to Ibiza with one online mum-shamer slamming her for not spending enough time with her kids.
Helen furiously hit back, as she responded: "I have never been on a girl's holiday like that before as I've always stayed at home looking after the kids.
"Why is everything always on women X?," she added with a pink heart emoji, despite being left rattled at the post.
