Helen Flanagan has revealed that she still can’t lift her two-year-old son up as she struggles with the recovery from her secret boob job.
The Corrie star Helen Flanagan has had a breast augmentation after her boobs were left "really saggy" after breastfeeding her three children.
The actress, 32, said she had the surgery to give her boobs an uplift and she did it for "my confidence", in a candid video shared on her Instagram account, where she said she was recovering from surgery.
But the mum-of-three has opened up about how the operation has affected her family life, revealing her heartache at not being able to lift her little boy Charlie.
Cuddling up with her youngest child, Helen videoed as she told him: “Mummy can’t carry you.”
She explained in the clip posted to her Instagram: "So I can cuddle Charlie, I just can't pick him up. Got some help this week."
Helen, who shares Matilda, seven, Delilah, four and Charlie, one, with her footballer ex Scott Sinclair, said over the course of her pregnancies and breastfeeding journey she had gone down to an E cup to a B and preferred her boobs smaller, but she wanted an uplift.
The star, whose bikini pics in the I'm A Celeb jungle in 2012 have become iconic, said she was nervous about telling the world her news, and emphasised that she loved breastfeeding her kids and doesn't regret it.
Sharing a lengthy video on Instagram, Helen who wore a green hoodie and grey tracksuit, said: "I wanted to pop on here. I'm actually really nervous about sharing this actually but I've had a boob job.
"I had it done on Thursday. Yeah, so I'm in recovery at the moment.
"I have been really nervous about sharing this, because you always get some, like, not very nice comments or what have you.
"It's just something that I did for myself, I really wanted to do it for my confidence.
"I have been really nervous about sharing this. Obviously I very much am for body confidence, and very much for supporting other women, but supporting women in all choices that they decided to do."
Helen went on: "I think if something really is bothering you, then I think, you know, it's a good thing to do something about it."
The star said she was on day two of her recovery and she couldn't shower properly so a friend helped her wash and dry her hair.
Helen, known for playing Rosie Webster in Corrie for 12 years, said she never thought she would get a boob job due to her "busty" figure.
The mum-of-three described how in total she breastfed for around three years and speaking of the change, she said: "There's no other nice way to say it, they just sagged. They became really saggy. It just really affected my confidence."
She said she noticed the change after Delilah was born, adding: "I remember being in the shower and thinking 'oh wow what is this?'"
Knowing she wanted a third baby, Helen postponed the operation and had it this January.
Finishing the video, Helen said: "I like to share my life on here, I like to be as honest as I can. I was nervous because people can be unkind. I am very much for supporting other women in the choices they decide to do."
Helen and her fiancé Scott split last year after 13 years together.
