Thunderstorms and heavy rain are set to cause disruption across the region with the Met Office issuing a yellow warning.
Brace yourself for a gloomy day as the warning is in place from 12pm this afternoon (June 21) lasting until 6pm.
The regions affected by the warning include North and South Lanarkshire. However, torrential rain is expected in Glasgow which is currently just outside the yellow weather warning area.
Downpour could also lead to flooding in some areas with travel likely to be affected, commuters have been warned.

Motorists should also prepare for driving conditions to be affected by spray, standing water and hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus.
Delays to train services are also possible as rainfall hits parts of Scotland today. Lighting strikes could potentially damage buildings across the region.
Last night we reported the adverse weather resulted in a pipe on Seafield Avenue, Bearsden bursting and residents in the area being left without water this morning as Scottish Water carry out crucial work.
A Met Office spokesperson added: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop from late morning.
"While many places will miss these, where they do occur some of these will be heavy, perhaps giving 10-20 mm of rain in around one hour and up to 30 mm in 2-3 hours in a few places.
"Hail and lightning are also likely to cause some hazardous conditions. Most of the showers and thunderstorms will die out by late afternoon or early evening."
