London set to bask in summer heatwave this week with temperatures predicted to soar above 30C

London will enjoy the hottest weather of the year so far as temperatures rise above 30C, it has been forecast.

Forecasters are expecting temperatures to soar to 32C in the south of the UK by Saturday – and most places will reach temperatures above the heatwave threshold by the weekend.
