A heating bill expert told the publication that there are a few tricks you can try with your radiator to really get the most out of your heating this year - including making sure your curtains aren't covering it. Experts claim you should never have your curtains covering your radiators when the central heating is turned on, as doing so will only direct the heat towards your windows and it will escape from the room, rather than warming it up.
