Heat’s Victor Oladipo Leaves Game vs. Bucks With Apparent Injury After Frightening Fall

The Heat picked up a resounding win in Game 3 over the Bucks, but they didn’t escape the contest unscathed. Veteran guard Victor Oladipo left the game late into the fourth quarter after sustaining an apparent knee injury.

Oladipo was attacking the basket with just a few minutes left on the clock when he appeared to lose his footing, causing him to land awkwardly. He remained on the ground clutching at his knee, visibly in pain before being removed from Saturday’s contest.

His teammates were distraught after the injury, too, coming over to stand by his side while the medical staff examined the injury.

After getting checked out by trainers, Oladipo was escorted to the locker room and did not return to the game.

Oladipo’s once promising career has been plagued by injuries throughout the past few seasons. Since the start of the 2018-19 season, the 30-year-old has featured in a total of 138 games out of a possible 400.

In 2022-23, Oladipo featured in 42 of Miami’s 82 games. It was the most games he’s played in a season since the 2017-18 campaign, back when he was with the Pacers.

In Saturday’s big win against the Bucks, Oladipo logged 19 minutes off the bench. He provided the Heat with eight points, two rebounds, one assist and two steals. He did not feature in Game 1, and played 26 minutes in Game 2.
