Heat guard Tyler Herro broke his right hand during Game 1 of Miami's first-round playoff series against the Bucks, the team announced on Sunday evening.
Herro appeared to suffer the injury diving for a loose ball with just under a minute left in the first half and the Heat leading Milwaukee 64–52. He exited the game shortly thereafter, finding time to put up a three-point shot with the injured hand.
The injury came shortly after Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo exited the contest and was ruled out with a lower back contusion.
Herro, 23, is in his fourth year with Miami. He was named to the All-Rookie team in 2020, which he punctuated by playing a starring role in the Heat's drive to the Eastern Conference title. In 2022, he averaged 20.7 points per game off the bench and won the league's Sixth Man of the Year award.
