Heartwarming reason Bradley Cooper still lives with his mum after family tragedy

Bradley Cooper might be a Hollywood A-lister - but he still lives his with mum.

The Hangover actor is one of the biggest names in the industry and has made millions during his illustrious career, but puts his family first before anything else.

The 48-year-old was actually seen getting savagely mocked by his mum, Gloria Campano, during a hilarious Super Bowl commercial earlier this month.

But in reality Gloria is her son's biggest fan - and the former news reporter has frequently been seen on the red carpet and at star-studded parties with the American Sniper star.

The pair share an incredibly close bond - and there is a heartwarming reason why Gloria still lives with Bradley.

During his childhood, Bradley's dad, Charles Cooper, worked as a stockbroker for Merrill Lynch, while mum Gloria was a newscaster for an NBC affiliate in their town near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

At high school, Bradley followed in his mother's footsteps and started working at the Philadelphia Daily News.

It was his mother's involvement in the media which first introduced him into the media industry and her went on to become one of the world's biggest actors.

Cooper moved into his parent's house and took a break from acting in 2011 so he could spend more time with his father.

Charles was diagnosed with lung cancer and Bradley did 'everything in his power' to save his father's life while surrounding him with love.

Sadly, Bradley's father lost his battle with cancer in 2011 - just five months after the Silver Linings Playbook actor moved in.

Mum Gloria was left devastated by the loss of her husband and Bradley asked her to move into his LA home, which is where she has stayed ever since.

During an interview with the LA Times in 2013, he explained : "And right now, two years after my father's death, this is where we are. My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us. It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped.

"And we need each other. So here we are. But don't get me wrong. It's not without complications. It's not like I live in a compound and she’s in the guesthouse. No. She's in the next room."

He added: "But here's the thing: She’s a cool chick. We can hang, and she can roll with the punches. If that wasn't the case, there's no way."

She continued to stay with Cooper during lockdown along with his daughter Lea and his two dogs.

Over the years, Gloria has practically become a star in her own right through attending elite industry parties and star-studded awards shows and premieres.

In 2014 she was pictured at a Golden Globes party with actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his mother Irmelin Indenbirken.

She once even got a shoutout from actress Julia Roberts at the Oscars, who finished the evening by saying goodnight to Gloria specifically.

Gloria shot to worldwide fame earlier this month when she appeared in a hilarious skit during T-Mobile 's Super Bowl ad.

At the start of the commercial, the announcer tells the audience: "To tell you about the incredible things about T-Mobile, we tried to make a commercial with Bradley Cooper and his mother."

Wearing a bright pink company t-shirt, Bradley pretended to be a store employee and approached his mum, who took on the role of a customer.

The A Star Is Born actor said: "Hi, how can I help you?" before Gloria veers away from the script to tell her son: "Yeah I don't like the way you look."

Doubling down on her comments, she later added: "You look like a flamingo in this."

Cooper was then seen trying to coach his mum on how to act, but she struggled with her lines and claimed: "Well, I have one eye there [the teleprompter] and one eye on you."

When Gloria hit back by telling her son "you look like a clam", he replied: "I think I know what I'm doing. I've been nominated nine times."

But in hilarious fashion, Gloria jibed: "Yeah, but you never won any."
