Hearts transfer update on Jacob Davenport as Lee Seung-woo move hits an obstacle

Jacob Davenport has trained with Hearts ahead of a potential move to the capital club - but a deal to sign Lee Seung-Woo has hit a stumbling block.

After leaving Blackburn Rovers at the end of last season, Davenport has been unable to find a new team, spending time on trial at Reading. Edinburgh Evening News reports that he has checked in at Riccarton on a similar basis with Robbie Neilson's men ahead of their Europa League play-off matches with Linfield or FC Zurich later this month, on top of an Edinburgh derby this Sunday.

He has 'held talks with Hearts officials and more discussions are expected to take place later in the week' claims the report. Seung-woo meanwhile is another they are keen to sign and talks are ongoing surrounding a release clause in the South Korea international forward's Suwon FC deal. But it will not be a straightforward negotiation.

He has scored ten goals in 22 appearances so far this term but picked up a red card in his last outing and is now suspended for Suwon’s next two games.

They are also reluctant to acknowledge interest from Tynecastle in one of their star men, with K League 1 currently midway through their season.
