Jacob Davenport has not been offered a contract by Hearts, according to reports.
Robbie Neilson has been in the market to further strengthen his Jambos squad ahead of juggling European and domestic matters this season. The likes of Alan Forrest, Kye Rowles, Lewis Neilson, Jorge Grant, Alex Cochrane and Lawrence Shankland have all pitched up this summer to add strength and depth to the current pool.
Another player who was looking to win a deal in the capital was former Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers midfielder Davenport - but the Edinburgh Evening News report that Neilson has opted against dealing in the 23-year-old. It is said although he is fit and sharp, they are looking at other options at this stage with the player set to look elsewhere as he bids to find a new club with the leagues now up and running. It comes as Hearts suffered Edinburgh derby heartbreak as returning Hibs star Martin Boyle netted a last-gasp leveller with the final kick of the ball at Easter Road to secure a share of the spoils in Lee Johnson's first taste of the blockbuster showdown.

Shankland had fired the visitors ahead after some excellent play by Barrie McKay to set up the Scotland international.
Craig Gordon and David Marshall were showing their class at either end of the park by producing a number of big saves to keep the score line down.
Both clubs now have four points from six after two games.
Hearts will now keep a keen eye on developments in the Europa League this week as they find out whether they will face Linfield or FC Zurich in the play-off round.
The Gorgie side are guaranteed group stage football this term with a parachute into the Europa Conference League proper already in the bag.
